Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across various locations in the U.S. You will develop, maintain, and analyze schedule and cost baselines, perform Earned Value Management, and prepare formal reports for stakeholders.

This role requires strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and EcoSys, collaboration with cross‑functional teams, and the ability to manage resources and risk effectively. Domestic and international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required for this position due to federal contract requirements and/or eligibility for a U.S. government security clearance.
• Expert knowledge of project management methodology including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, and finance and accounting concepts and practices.
• Demonstrates an understanding of project finance, accounting or business administration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated critical path schedules for major projects and/or portfolio of projects in accordance with contract specifications.
• Generates and analyzes earned value reports for moderately complex to highly complex projects and discusses observations with the project manager.
• Provides technical guidance and training to more junior staff and mentors them for future growth within the discipline.
