Job summary

CDM Smith seeks a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across various locations in the U.S. This role develops schedule and cost baselines, analyzes monthly data, and ensures risk reserves are integrated into forecasts.

It works with management to implement financial controls and forecasting techniques in a collaborative environment. The successful candidate will have experience with Earned Value Management, Primavera P6, and EcoSys, and will engage in mentoring junior

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of project management methodology including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies.
• Demonstrates knowledge of project goals, drivers, strategies, risks and opportunities; understanding of project finance.
• Expert level knowledge of Primavera P6.
• Proficient in EcoSys.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops time‑phased project cost and resource forecasts; validates project costs; updates requirements as needed.
• Generates and analyzes earned value reports and discusses observations with the project manager.
• Manages project managers' portfolios and projects on an international scale.
• Develops, maintains and analyzes integrated critical path schedules for major projects and portfolios.
• Monitors progress of project deliverables and actual expenditures versus forecasts.
