CDM Smith is excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across various locations in the U.S. You will develop schedule and cost baselines, collect monthly data, analyze variances, and assist with forecasts and reporting.

The role emphasizes risk management, internal controls, and collaboration with project teams. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s Degree, 5 years of related experience, and strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and EVM.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal contract requirements.
• Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of related experience.
• Expert knowledge of Primavera P6 and Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Strong project planning, cost control and forecasting skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain critical path schedules.
• Occasional domestic/international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develops time‑phased project cost and resource forecasts with baselines.
• Monitors progress, analyzes variances and updates forecasts.
• Generates earned value reports and client/status communications.
• Maintains project documentation following control procedures.
• Mentors junior staff and provides technical guidance.
