Job summary

NELSON Worldwide, LLC is seeking a Senior Project Accountant to manage project financials, invoicing, contracts and collections, supporting project profitability across the organization. You will mentor and train Project Accountants, partner with Project Managers on invoicing and forecasting, and leverage Deltek Vantagepoint to ensure accurate invoicing and timely collections.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with high-volume invoicing.
• Ability to mentor Project Accountants.
• Proven project accounting and contract review skills.
• Proficient with Deltek Vantagepoint and Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Mentor Project Accountants to ensure accurate Deltek input.
• Review contracts to ensure project setup and invoicing terms.
• Issue a high volume of invoices with accuracy.
• Manage unbilled time and expenses to address aging balances.
• Train Project Managers in billing processes.
• Support onboarding of Project Managers.
• Participate in project forecasting.
• Escalate billing and project challenges as needed.
• General accounting support as needed.
