NELSON is seeking an experienced Project Accountant to support our project teams and Finance leadership. The Project Accountant is responsible for managing a high volume of invoicing while working with Senior Project Accountants, Finance Leaders and Project Managers to ensure invoices and billing requirements are correct.

Leveraging Deltek Vantagepoint, NELSON Business Insights (Tableau), and MS Office, you will help improve financial processes, maximize project profitability, and ensure

• Issue a high volume and high complexity of invoices with Project Managers.
• Proactively manage unbilled time and expenses to address aging balances.
• Submit all invoices to clients.
• Assist Project Managers with accounts receivable tracking and collections.
• Train Project Managers in billing processes.
• Support onboarding of Project Managers.
• Notarize documents as needed.
• Manage Missing Rates tool.
• Assist with Project Review Meetings and Billing escalations.
• Support Finance Leader and address billing/project challenges.
• Provide general accounting support.
• Forecast projects.
