Nelson is seeking an experienced Senior Project Accountant to oversee project financial management, billing, and collections. You will mentor Project Accountants, partner with Project Managers on invoicing, forecasting, and unbilled balances while resolving billing and AR challenges.

The ideal candidate brings strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience with Deltek Vantagepoint, and the ability to drive efficient processes that support project profitability and positive financial

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume billing and accounts receivable.
• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint and project accounting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to mentor Project Accountants.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• 8+ years in high-volume billing or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Mentor Project Accountants to ensure accurate project setup in Deltek Vantagepoint.
• Mentor with contract review to ensure invoicing conforms to terms.
• Issue high-volume, high-complexity invoices with Project Managers.
• Proactively manage unbilled time and expenses.
• Submit invoices to clients and assist AR tracking and collections.
• Train Project Managers in billing processes and onboarding.
