Job summary

Luster seeks experienced Schedulers to support large heavy civil infrastructure programs across highways, bridges, transit, airports, and water projects. Candidates will manage master schedules, perform risk analyses, and prepare Time Impact Analyses for change orders.

Role covers design through turnover with increasing scope by experience, requiring strong communication and mentoring of junior schedulers. On‑site positions in California are common.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, construction, or related).
• 5+ years of scheduling experience on large heavy‑civil projects.
• Experience with CPM baseline schedule development and variance analysis.
• Experience with monthly schedule updates and critical path analysis.
• Ability to translate scope and drawings into logic-driven schedules.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain an integrated CPM schedule from design through turnover.
• Collect progress data, update status, and produce look‑aheads and earned‑value forecasts.
• Run critical path and what‑if analyses to test sequencing options.
• Integrate external interfaces, permitting, and long‑lead items into the schedule.
• Generate narrative reports, Gantt charts, and KPI dashboards for stakeholders.
• Perform schedule‑risk analyses and recommend contingencies and mitigation actions.
• Support change orders and Time Impact Analyses tying delays to cost.
