Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Seattle is seeking an experienced Program Planner/Cost Analyst to lead comprehensive program plans and cost forecasts for the In-Space Systems unit. You will integrate schedules with budgets, establish work breakdown structures, and coordinate inputs across IPTs using Primavera P6 and related tools.

The role demands 15+ years of planning/finance experience, EVMS expertise, and a proven ability to drive EACs and cost/schedule integration for large programs.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business, finance, engineering, project management or other highly analytical field
• 15+ years of program planning and program finance/business analytics experience for government or commercial contracts, or internally funded R&D programs
• Working knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) along with experience in non-earned value environments
• Proficiency with leading teams through baseline establishment activities with cost/schedule integration for large data sets, major replans, and formal Estimate at Complete updates
• Control account management including budget baselining, reforecasting, variance analysis, monthly progress reporting, managing EACs
• Experience and comfort with working in ambiguous environments and situations
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Responsibilities

• Lead development and maintenance of accurate program plans integrated with program schedules in Primavera P6.
• Solicit inputs on requirements and dependencies across the organization and translate into robust plans and forecasts.
• Develop Work Breakdown Structures and control account data structures.
• Drive execution by coordinating status updates and performing Estimate to Complete updates.
• Analyze root causes, generate actionable metrics and KPIs, and report to program leadership.
• Support cost analyses to enable timely delivery and transparent program performance data.
• Implement change management for approved scope changes and manage EACs.
• Mentor other program cost analysts and mature PMO cost management and forecasting artifacts
