Job summary

Dow Inc. in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Senior Production Engineer to optimize plant operations, improve yield, and ensure safe production of high-quality products. You will coordinate with Supply Chain and Operations to meet business goals and apply advanced technical knowledge to drive efficiency.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical or mechanical preferred) and at least 3 years of relevant experience. U.S. work authorization is required; relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• Chemical or mechanical engineering is preferred.
• U.S. work authorization is required; no visa sponsorship is available.

Responsibilities

• Understand business production needs and translate into plant goals.
• Coordinate with Integrated Supply Chain for production planning, shipping and materials.
• Determine shutdown timing with Supply Chain, Turnaround, Operations and maintenance teams.
• Coach plant personnel on KPI tracking and performance records.
• Work with operations teams and SMEs to optimize plant performance.
• Ensure MET awareness and utilize process automation to improve efficiency.
• Lead troubleshooting and implement corrective actions during issues.
• Document root causes of asset utilization losses and drive improvements.
• Review daily logbooks and alarms to stay engaged in operations.
• Monitor KPI trends and respond to plant emergencies and on-call rotations.
