Job summary

Dow Inc. in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Senior Production Engineer to optimize plant operations, drive safe and cost-efficient production, and serve as the interface between the plant and supply chain.

The role requires broad knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures to coordinate production units to meet business goals. You will lead troubleshooting, apply MET and process automation to improve performance, coordinate with supply chain, and mentor operations teams while maintaining safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• US work authorization required; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Translates business production goals into plant production goals.
• Coordinates production planning, product shipping, and raw materials with Integrated Supply Chain.
• Determines shutdown timing with Supply Chain, Turnaround, Operations and other service providers.
• Coaches plant personnel on measurement tools and performance records.
• Works closely with operations teams and SMEs to optimize plant performance.
• Ensures Most Effective Technology (MET) is understood and used to optimize plant performance.
• Diagnoses and documents root causes of asset losses and documents operating discipline.
• Maintains and reviews daily KPIs/trends and responds to plant issues and emergencies.
