Job summary

Dow in Knoxville, TN, seeks a Senior Production Engineer to optimize plant operations and enable safe, cost-effective production of high-quality products.

You will coordinate with the supply chain, plan production, manage shutdowns, and mentor plant personnel while leveraging MET and automation to improve efficiency and reliability.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, at least 3 years of relevant experience, and US work authorization; relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering is required; chemical or mechanical engineering preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience required.
• US work authorization required; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Translate business production goals into plant production objectives.
• Coordinate with Integrated Supply Chain for production planning, shipping, and raw materials.
• Determine shutdown timing with Supply Chain, Turnaround, Operations, Maintenance, and other service providers.
• Coach personnel on measurement tools and KPI trends.
• Use MET and process automation to optimize plant performance and compliance.
• Lead advanced troubleshooting and implement corrective actions during events.
• Document root causes of asset utilization losses and daily operation reviews.
