Job summary

Dow seeks a Senior Production Engineer in Knoxville, TN to optimize plant operations, drive safe and efficient production, and coordinate with the Supply Chain. The role interfaces with the plant and Technology Center, applying MET and automation to improve performance and reduce costs.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience, with US work authorization required.

Qualifications

• Technical problem-solving to troubleshoot plant issues and implement corrective actions.
• Data analysis of KPIs, alarm histories, and logbooks to monitor performance.
• Collaboration with operations and SMEs to drive solutions and improvements.

Responsibilities

• Translate business production goals into plant production targets.
• Coordinate with Integrated Supply Chain on production planning and materials.
• Determine shutdown timing with Supply Chain, Turnaround, Ops, and maintenance.
• Coach staff on measurement tools and daily performance updates.
• Lead problem solving with operations and SMEs to optimize outcomes.
• Apply MET concepts and process automation to improve plant performance.
• Lead root-cause analysis for asset utilization losses.
• Review logbooks and alarms daily to stay aligned with operations.
• Maintain KPI trends and respond to plant issues and emergencies.
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident response.
