Job summary
Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Production Engineer located in Knoxville, TN. The Senior Production Engineer serves as a vital resource for Operations by applying technical skills to optimize plant operations, resolve plant problems, and enable safe and efficient production of low cost, quality products.
The role coordinates with Supply Chain and SMEs to meet business goals, and requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience and US work
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience.
- US work authorization; no visa sponsorship provided.
Responsibilities
- Translate business production goals into plant objectives.
- Coordinate with Integrated Supply Chain for planning and shipping.
- Determine shutdown timing with Supply Chain, Turnaround, Operations and others.
- Coach personnel on KPI tracking and performance records.
- Collaborate with operations and SMEs to optimize plant performance.
- Apply MET concepts and process automation to improve operations.
- Assist in advanced troubleshooting and corrective actions.
- Diagnose root causes of asset utilization losses.
- Monitor daily logbooks, alarms, and KPI trends.
- Respond to plant issues and participate in on-call rotations.
- Act as unit technical expert during unplanned events.
