Job summary

Dow is seeking a Senior Production Engineer in Knoxville, TN, to optimize plant operations and ensure safe, cost-effective production of high-quality products. You will interface between the plant and supply chain, using data-driven methods to meet business goals.

Responsibilities include coordinating production planning, improving performance metrics, and applying process automation to drive efficiency while maintaining compliance with permits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required. Chemical or mechanical preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• U.S. work authorization required; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Translate business production needs into plant goals.
• Coordinate with supply chain for production planning and shipping.
• Determine shutdown timing with cross-functional teams.
• Coach personnel on performance metrics and daily updates.
• Collaborate with operations and SMEs to optimize plant performance.
• Apply MET and automation to improve efficiency and compliance.
• Lead root-cause analysis of asset utilization losses.
• Review logbooks and alarms to understand operations.
