Job summary

Dow in Knoxville, TN seeks a Senior Production Engineer to optimize plant operations, resolve issues, and ensure safe, cost-effective production of quality products.

You will work with Integrated Supply Chain, Operations, and SMEs to improve MET usage, perform root-cause analyses, monitor KPI trends, and manage daily performance reviews while supporting on-call rotations and maintaining compliance with operating permits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; chemical or mechanical preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Translate business production goals into plant production goals.
• Coordinate with Integrated Supply Chain for production planning and materials.
• Determine shutdown timing with Supply Chain, Turnaround, Operations, and Maintenance.
• Coach personnel on measurement tools and performance records (KPI, etc.).
• Work with operations teams and SMEs to optimize plant performance and resolve issues.
• Apply MET and process automation knowledge to improve efficiency.
• Lead troubleshooting and corrective actions during events.
• Diagnose root causes of asset utilization losses and document findings.
• Monitor logbooks, alarms, and KPI trends to maintain optimal performance.
• Respond to plant emergencies and participate in on-call rotations.
