Job summary

RTX is seeking a Program Cost Controls Professional in Tucson, hybrid role within the Naval Shipboard Missiles Sub-Strategic Business Unit. You will drive financial planning, cost control, and reporting for critical contracts, partnering with program managers, technical leads, and supply chain colleagues.

The ideal candidate demonstrates analytical rigor, cross-functional collaboration, and ability to manage complex, multi-year production programs in a dynamic defense environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience, or an Advanced Degree with more experience.
• Experience interfacing in a matrix organization across contracts, engineering, operations and PM.
• Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
• Experience with SAP ERP (APEX, PRISM, BW) or similar ERP system.
• Understanding of AOP and LRP, forecasting, metrics, and program inputs.
• Strong analytical/problem solving skills and deadlines focus.
• Ability to work in a team and drive continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Understand key business and financial drivers and translate to recommendations for leadership.
• Forecasting, risk identification, and financial planning with independence.
• Collaborate with team to meet contract, program, and customer goals.
• Provide cost, schedule, and financial analysis/reporting using company tools.
• Coordinate quarterly EAC and Latest Revised Estimates (LRE).
• Provide financial guidance to program team and functional leads.
• Build finance charts for monthly reviews and reporting.
• Contribute to CDARs/ CDRLs and logs management.
