Job summary

Epicor seeks a Senior Product Manager for Forward Deployed Engineering to own strategy and a multi-year roadmap. You will work on-site with customers, guiding an embedded engineering team and making critical technical decisions that translate customer needs into reusable platform improvements.

The role combines hands-on prototyping, architecture evaluation, and leadership across product, engineering, UX, and data science, with travel up to 40% for customer engagements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of combined product management and engineering experience.
• Hands-on background building software with rapid prototyping.
• Experience leading technical teams and managing stakeholders including executives.
• Experience integrating software in enterprise environments with APIs, data pipelines, and SSO.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, engineering, business, or related field; willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale the Forward Deployed Engineering team, setting high customer engagement standards.
• Own the product lifecycle and a multi-year roadmap, deciding reusable features vs. custom work.
• Define the operating model for FDE engagements, from discovery to deployment.
• Stay hands-on, evaluating architecture and prototyping when momentum requires.
• Lead customer discovery with strategic accounts to uncover high-value problems.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with engineering, data science, UX, marketing, and field teams.
• Drive go-to-market, pricing, packaging, and ROI with Product Marketing and Sales.
