Job summary

Epicor is seeking a Manager of Product Development within Forward Deployed Engineering. You will lead a hands-on team that works directly with customers to understand operational challenges and create tailored software solutions.

You will guide the delivery of automation and production-ready capabilities while moving confidently between people leadership, software delivery, and cross-functional partnership, with travel up to 15–20%.

Qualifications

• Engineering management or technical leadership experience leading software teams.
• Strong hands‑on software development experience in enterprise environments.
• Experience translating customer needs into technical solutions.
• Proven expertise in cloud architecture for scalable, secure, cost-efficient systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 15–20%.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a Forward Deployed Engineering team focused on customer‑specific software solutions.
• Partner directly with customers to understand business processes, technical challenges, and opportunities for automation.
• Guide the design, development, deployment, and support of reliable production solutions.
• Remain hands‑on in technical architecture, development, troubleshooting, and solution reviews.
• Identify patterns across customer engagements that may become reusable platform or product capabilities.
• Collaborate with product, platform, engineering, customer success, and other internal teams.
• Mentor engineers, establish delivery standards, and create a culture of ownership, learning, and customer impact.
