Job summary

International Motors in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer to manage the full product lifecycle, from concept through production and field support. You will work with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Marketing to ensure performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

The role offers a salary and is aligned with a night production shift (Mon-Thu 5:30 PM–4:00 AM) starting in early 2027; occasional extended hours and weekend support may be required to meet

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science with at least 1 year of product design/development experience.
• Master's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science is also acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support all phases of the product lifecycle from design to end-of-life.
• Serve as the primary engineering resource for assigned products, ensuring performance and cost objectives.
• Collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Testing, Supply Chain, Purchasing and Marketing to drive product execution.
• Analyse issues via root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and review engineering documentation including specs, drawings, and change notices.
• Support product validation to meet customer, regulatory, and company requirements.
• Lead product improvement initiatives focusing on quality and reliability.
• Provide technical support to plants, suppliers, and customers as needed.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive project execution with clear communication.
