Job summary

International Motors, LLC in San Antonio is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer on the Night Shift to support a growing operation. This hands-on role requires ownership of technical challenges, and aims to keep production safe, efficient, and thriving on the shop floor.

You will troubleshoot equipment, drive continuous improvement, and lead tooling, assembly, and production ramp-up activities, with a 10% night differential and flexibility for extended shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of product manufacturing experience.
• Master's degree and no experience
• At least 3 years of product manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

• Support production by responding to process issues, equipment faults, and downtime events.
• Analyze production data to improve process efficiency, product quality, throughput, and cost.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across General Assembly operations.
• Partner with R&D to provide DFA feedback for future products and processes.
• Manage assembly process, tooling, automation, and equipment projects from concept through implementation.
• Develop assembly concepts that improve manufacturability, quality, ergonomics, and throughput.
• Create and support Statements of Work (SOWs), project specifications, and technical requirements.
• Establish and maintain robust manufacturing processes that meet product specifications and operational targets.
• Evaluate internal and supplier-driven processes for component quality and manufacturing readiness.
• Support new vehicle programs through readiness reviews, launch planning, validation, and production ramp-up.
• Partner with Advanced Manufacturing Engineering to install, commission, and validate new equipment and production systems.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing challenges, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Design and support fixtures, jigs, tooling, gauges, and assembly aids.
• Create and maintain process flows, PFMEAs, control plans, and standardized work.
• Estimate manufacturing costs, establish labor standards, and recommend process or tooling changes.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers, technicians, skilled trades, and production teams.
