Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Senior Product Counsel to guide the legal team in providing practical advice to engineering and product management as global laws around data privacy, protection, and AI evolve. This role reports to the Assistant General Counsel, Product.

You will counsel on product and data risk, draft and update form agreements, negotiate DPAs and BAAs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including privacy, security, and commercial functions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant legal experience at a top law firm and/or in-house.
• Experience with AI, FedRAMP, or payments is a plus.
• Deep understanding of cloud/software technology and product risk.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end product counseling from ideation to end of life.
• Draft and negotiate product/service agreements including DPAs/BAAs.
• Advise on data privacy, data protection, and cybersecurity issues.
