Job summary

Databricks is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Counsel, Privacy to serve as a trusted advisor across the business. You will own and mature our privacy program, lead legal initiatives that deliver practical guidance as global privacy and AI laws evolve.

Reporting to the Director & Assistant General Counsel, Privacy, you will develop AI‑enabled solutions for operating and maturing privacy processes and controls, including DPIAs/PIAs, data mapping, notices, and policy management, while

Qualifications

• 7+ years of legal experience with privacy focus, in‑house or at a top firm.
• Deep knowledge of GDPR/UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, EU AI Act, and cross‑border transfers.
• Experience building, operating, or leading a privacy program.

Responsibilities

• Advise on global privacy regulatory interpretation and compliance.
• Lead privacy program governance, DPIAs/PIAs, notices, and data mapping.
• Draft and negotiate data protection provisions in contracts (DPA, SCCs).
• Deliver privacy training and operationalize AI governance frameworks.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with commercial, compliance, and engineering teams.
