Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Senior Counsel, Privacy to lead and mature our global privacy program and provide practical legal guidance on evolving AI and privacy laws. You will craft AI-enabled solutions for privacy controls and collaborate across product, security, and business teams.

Reporting to the Director & Assistant General Counsel, Privacy, you will build scalable processes, manage DPIAs, privacy notices, and data transfers, and help Databricks stay compliant in a fast-paced tech environment

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant legal experience at a top law firm and/or in-house
• Deep knowledge of global privacy and AI frameworks (GDPR/UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, EU AI Act)
• Familiarity with privacy management tooling and DPIAs/PIAs

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on global privacy and data protection laws.
• Lead the privacy program, including DPIAs, RoPA, data mapping, and data transfers.
• Draft and negotiate data protection provisions in commercial contracts (DPAs, SCCs).
• Develop and maintain privacy policies and notices; lead privacy/Ai governance training.
