Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. in Coppell, TX is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to lead planning, forecasting, logistics, and purchasing for construction materials and electrical equipment.

You will supervise buyers, improve procurement processes, and collaborate with project teams to ensure timely buy-outs. The role requires 5+ years in electrical construction purchasing, a relevant bachelor's degree, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of electrical equipment and construction materials.
• Working knowledge of procurement techniques, procedures, policies and accounting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Supervisory skills.
• Work independently with minimum supervision.
• Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Oracle.
• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
• Work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements.
• Oral and written communication skills as required for the position.
• Self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and distributes complex and technical bid invitations or requests for proposal including logistics, warehousing, kitting, and cutting and packaging requirements.
• Processes difficult and unique purchasing transactions according to state laws, federal statutes, policies, and procedures.
• Assists departments with specification development, drafts RFP.
• Reviews, analyzes and approves all purchases where award is not made to the low bidder to ensure justification exists and policy is followed.
• Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of deficiency and take corrective action.
• Plan all aspects of purchasing from project award to closeout.
• Oversee execution of the purchasing buy-out.
• Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
• Collaborate with estimating management, design professionals and site management.
• Provide feedback to assist in analyzing market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability.
• Enforce procurement policies and procedures to project team.
• Support projections, financial planning, expediting, delivery schedules and project purchasing reporting.
• Develop and review procurement analytics, reporting and deliverables.
• Be able to provide supervision to buyer/expeditor when necessary.
