Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to plan, forecast, and manage purchasing of commodity construction materials, electrical equipment, lighting and supplies for awarded projects.

The role includes leadership, training, and supervision of procurement activities across the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of electrical construction purchasing experience, strong knowledge of procurement practices, and proficiency with

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of electrical equipment and construction materials.
• Working knowledge of procurement techniques, procedures, policies and accounting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Must exhibit supervisory skills.
• Work independently with minimum supervision.
• Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle.
• Travel up to %.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and distributes complex and technical bid invitations or requests for proposal including logistics, warehousing, kitting, and cutting and packaging requirements; receives, analyzes, and recommends approval of bids most advantageous to Rosendin.
• Processes difficult and unique purchasing transactions according to state laws, federal statutes, policies, and procedures established by Rosendin.
• Assists departments with specification development, drafts RFP.
• Reviews, analyzes and approves all purchases where award is not made to the low bidder to ensure justification exists and policy is followed.
• Oversees execution of the purchasing buy-out and maintains records of goods ordered and received.
