Job summary

Lilly in Indiana is seeking a Chemical Engineer to help transfer chemical processes from development laboratories to pilot plant operations, enabling early-phase cGMP manufacturing of kilogram quantities for clinical supply. Qualifications

• BS or MS in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• 4+ years in pharmaceutical process development or pilot plant operations.
• Authorized to work in the United States full-time; no visa sponsorship.
• Experience with kilo/pilot-scale processing equipment.
• Familiar with cGMP and FDA guidelines.
• Strong documentation and technical report writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate transfer of chemical processes from development labs to pilot plant.
• Operate and troubleshoot kilo-scale equipment (reactors, filtration, drying).
• Apply heat/mass transfer and kinetics to scale-up calculations.
• Develop filtration models and crystallization PSD control.
• Prepare SOPs, batch records, and deviation reports.
• Perform Definitive Lab Trials of crystallization for plant readiness.
• Summarize experimental results and present findings.
