Job summary

Lilly Medicines Foundry in Indiana is seeking an experienced engineer to support transfer of chemical processes to pilot-scale operations for clinical trial supply. You will operate kilo-scale reactors, filtration and drying equipment, and apply engineering principles for scale-up and equipment sizing.

The role emphasizes crystallization control, filtration modeling, and collaboration with R&D, safety, and QC teams to ensure plant readiness.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Chemical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 4+ years industry experience in pharmaceutical process development, pilot plant operations, or chemical manufacturing.
• Authorized to work in the United States full-time; Lilly does not sponsor visas.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate transfer of chemical processes from development labs to pilot plant operations for cGMP manufacturing.
• Operate and troubleshoot kilo-scale equipment and support process scale-up.
• Apply chemical engineering principles to scale-up calculations and equipment sizing.
