Job summary

Lilly is seeking an experienced chemical engineer to lead the transfer of scalable processes from development to pilot-scale production for clinical trial materials. You will oversee kilo-scale operations, apply crystallization and filtration modeling, and ensure compliance with cGMP standards.

The role requires hands-on experience with kilo-scale/ pilot-scale equipment, strong data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to drive process readiness and continuous improvement at the Lilly

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Chemical Engineering required.
• 4+ years of industry experience in pharmaceutical process development or related manufacturing roles.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate transfer of chemical processes from development labs to pilot plant operations.
• Operate kilo-scale and pilot-scale equipment including reactors, filtration, and drying systems.
• Apply heat/mass transfer, reaction kinetics, and PSD control to scale-up processes.
• Document SOPs, batch records, and deviation reports.
• Support process troubleshooting, deviations, and quality events.
• Maintain detailed lab notebooks to enable technical transfers and replication.
• Collaborate with chemists, safety, and quality teams to ensure plant readiness.
