Job summary

Lilly in Lebanon, Indiana, seeks a Process Engineer to support the pilot plant for active pharmaceutical ingredient synthesis. The role involves solving technical challenges, building process knowledge, optimizing operations and ensuring cgmp-compliant manufacturing.

Initial location options include Lilly Technology Center in Indianapolis or Parkwood West, Carmel; permanent site is the new Lilly Medicines Foundry in Lebanon.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in pharma/chemical manufacturing or related batch processes.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Assess unit operations by performing impact and risk analyses.
• Learn lab and plant reactor design, including automation recipes and procedures.
• Ensure safety and compliance with company policies and cgmp requirements.
• Model, simulate, or test to verify heat and mass transfer during scale-up.
• Collaborate with HSE, QA, Tech Services, Operations, Automation and Maintenance.
