Job summary

Lilly is seeking a Process Engineer for the Lebanon, Indiana site startup of a greenfield API manufacturing facility. You will support pilot plant operations, optimize processes, and help establish GMP manufacturing readiness for drug substances.

The role requires a BS/MS in chemical engineering with at least 2 years in pharma/biotech/CMO settings, and familiarity with process control systems and lab automation tools.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in chemical engineering or related engineering degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/CMO environments.
• Authorized to work in the United States full-time.

Responsibilities

• Perform impact and risk assessments for unit operations.
• Learn lab and plant reactor design including automation recipes and procedures.
• Ensure safety and compliance with company policies and cgmp requirements.
• Assess rig fit by data packages and perform modeling/simulations for scale-up.
• Collaborate with HSE, QA, Tech Services, Development, Operations, Automation, Maintenance, and Manufacturing.
