Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of privacy engineers, ensuring operational excellence across cookie categorization, opt-out scanning, CMP operations, and privacy library maintenance.
• Serve as the technical SME for the privacy engineering function, providing ideation, solution feedback, and architectural guidance to direct reports.
• Maintain technical depth across the team's domains to support continuity and reduce key-person risk.
• Oversee the privacy tech stack, including CMPs, tag management, cookie scanning, and data inventory tooling.
• Evaluate vendor capabilities and contribute to privacy technology investment decisions and build/buy evaluations.
• Partner with Data Strategy and Engineering to integrate privacy-enhancing technologies into enterprise systems and workflows.
• Execute and monitor privacy compliance activities across Cox Automotive, serving as a central SME with federated teams.
• Support privacy program roadmap with risk assessments, data flow docs, third-party privacy reviews, and regulatory operations.
• Monitor privacy risk and drive corrective actions to resolution.
• Contribute to privacy program standards, processes, and documentation.
• Lead onboarding for brands and acquisitions, including assessments, remediation planning, and integration into centralized infrastructure.
• Evaluate privacy posture of brands and acquisitions against enterprise standards.
• Drive the technical integration of brands onto centralized privacy infrastructure.
• Develop onboarding playbooks scalable across acquisition types and brand structures.
• Interface with Privacy Legal, Data Strategy, Engineering, and Product to advance program objectives.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on privacy-by-design for products and integrations.
• Translate technical privacy concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Provide guidance on privacy requirements throughout design and development lifecycle.
• Drive adoption of privacy standards through engagement and change management.
