Job summary

Messer Americas is seeking a Project Manager to execute major capital projects safely, to specification, on time and on budget. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and operations to ensure project success.

The Principal Project Manager role is Messer’s most senior project management position, handling large, complex initiatives and directing project strategies to maximize value and minimize risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering or related discipline.
• 15 years’ experience in capital project implementation, especially in industrial gas or chemical processes.
• Proven ability to develop complex technical scope, schedule and budget and deliver to it.

Responsibilities

• Oversee proposal development and project execution of major capital projects.
• Manage all project activities throughout the project cycle, including supervision of engineers and contract PMs.
• Coordinate engineering, design, schedules, budgets, and vendor relationships to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
