Job summary

Messer Americas seeks a Project Manager to lead capital project implementations, safely and on time and on budget. You will steer multi-discipline teams and coordinate engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning to achieve project goals.

The role emphasizes proposal development, PDES strategy, vendor management, and regulatory compliance. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 15 years’ experience in industrial gas or chemical processing are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or other relevant discipline.
• 15 years' experience in implementation of capital projects, ideally in Industrial Gas or Chemical Process industries.
• Ability to develop a complicated technical scope, schedule and budget and deliver to it.

Responsibilities

• Oversee proposal development and project execution of major capital projects.
• Manage project activities through the cycle; leadership of up to 2 full-time engineers and 2–3 contract PMs.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets; prepare monthly status reports; oversee construction and commissioning.
• Manage outsourcing of discipline engineering and interface with procurement.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and deliver complete project documentation at closeout.
