Job summary

Messer Americas seeks a Principal Project Manager to lead major capital initiatives, overseeing scope, schedules, and budgets while delivering safe, on-time, and on-budget results. The role guides multi-discipline teams through engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.

You will manage up to 2 full-time engineers and 2–3 contract PMs, coordinate with multiple functions, and drive PDES strategies to ensure project success and regulatory compliance across Messer plants.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of codes and regulations related to industrial gas projects (ASME B31.1, NEC, building codes).
• Expertise in field phases: construction, commissioning, punch list closure.
• Strong negotiation and planning abilities to manage complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee proposal development and execution of major capital projects.
• Lead multi-discipline teams and manage up to 2 full-time engineers plus 2–3 contract PMs.
• Develop schedules and budgets, track spend, and report monthly variances.
• Coordinate engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
