Job summary

Chelsea Search Group is seeking an experienced Senior/Principal Physical Design Engineer. The role focuses on delivering high-performance ASICs from RTL to GDSII, driving floorplanning, placement, CTS, routing, timing closure, and PPA optimization using advanced tools.

You will collaborate with RTL, verification, DFT, and analog/mixed-signal teams, develop PD flows, and mentor other engineers while supporting tapeout and sign-off activities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of ASIC/SoC design experience.
• Degree: BSEE/MSEE or equivalent.
• Proficient in RTL-based digital IC design using Verilog/SystemVerilog.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize designs to meet PPA objectives while meeting timing and reliability.
• Collaborate with RTL, verification, DFT, analog/mixed-signal, and packaging teams.
• Develop and optimize floorplans with DDR/SerDes interfaces.
• Create and maintain PD flows, scripts, and automation for efficiency.
• Perform full-chip PD from netlist to GDSII, including CTS and routing.
• Conduct physical verification (DRC/LVS) and signoff activities with Calibre.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to junior engineers; support tapeout.
