Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is hiring a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer - Missile Guidance, Navigation, & Control Engineer to lead embedded software development for 6-DoF simulations and flight software integration.

On-site role with security clearance requirements and a strong emphasis on system-level performance analyses. The role requires a Bachelor's in a STEM field, 10+ years of experience, and expertise in GNC, signal processing, and MATLAB/Python/C/C++.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with missile system applications and GNC/signal processing.

Responsibilities

• Development, integration, and testing of embedded tactical missile flight code.
• System performance studies and analyses for new capabilities and obsolescence.
• Work within an agile framework to lead backlogs, plans, and metrics.
• Mentor engineers and train program staff.
• Support missile performance analysis including model development and Monte Carlo assessments.
