Job summary

RTX (Raytheon) in Tucson, AZ seeks a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer - Missile Guidance, Navigation, & Control to help evaluate, design, implement, and integrate embedded software algorithms for 6 DoF simulations and flight software.

You will work in an integrated product team on tactical software and firmware across programs onsite in Tucson. You will collaborate with engineers to meet system performance requirements, conducting analyses, and guiding junior engineers in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree.
• GNC, Signal Processing, and/or Modeling / Simulation experience.
• Engineering experience in missile system applications including Digital/modern control systems, Dynamics, Kalman filter design, Monte Carlo analysis, and signal processing.

Responsibilities

• Development, integration, and testing of embedded tactical missile flight code.
• Definition and execution of system level performance studies and analyses to inform development and integration of new capabilities.
• Work within an agile framework to lead development of backlogs, plans, and metrics.
• Provide experience and guidance to help the program train new engineers and execute efficiently and effectively.
• Support missile performance analysis including model development, system optimization, and Monte Carlo assessments with expected system disturbances.
