Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer - Missile Guidance, Navigation, and Control to lead embedded software and flight software development for 6-DoF simulations. You will collaborate with an integrated product team on tactical missile software and simulations to meet performance requirements.

The role requires deep GNC, signal processing, and modeling/simulation expertise, with hands-on MATLAB, Python, C/C++, and OO design experience. Onsite work in Tucson, AZ is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM field and 8+ years relevant experience.
GNC, Signal Processing, and/or Modeling/Simulation experience.
GPS/INS navigation systems, sensors, and algorithms.

Responsibilities

Develop, integrate, and test embedded tactical missile flight code.
Define and execute system-level performance studies to inform development and integration of capabilities.
Work within an Agile framework to lead backlogs, plans, and metrics.
Provide guidance to train new engineers and improve efficiency.
Support missile performance analysis including model development and Monte Carlo assessments.
