Job summary

RTX's Effectors PG&C Center in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Systems Engineer II - Guidance, Navigation, and Control Engineer to support embedded software algorithms for missile programs. This onsite role collaborates within an integrated product team delivering 6-DoF simulations to meet performance requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualified candidates hold a STEM degree with 2+ years of GNC or modeling experience and must be able to obtain Interim Secret clearance; U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM field and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience.
• GNC, Signal Processing, and/or Modeling / Simulation experience.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, C, C++, and/or Object-Oriented design.
• Ability to obtain an Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Development, integration, and testing of embedded tactical missile flight code.
• Definition and execution of system level performance studies and analyses to inform development and integration of new capabilities or to address obsolescence.
• Work within an agile framework to lead development of backlogs, plans, and metrics.
• Provide experience and guidance to help the program train new engineers and execute efficiently.
• Support missile performance analysis including model development, system optimization, and Monte Carlo assessments with expected disturbances.
