Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking an entry-level Systems Engineer (Guidance, Navigation, and Control) to support embedded software development for missile programs. The role emphasizes evaluation, design, integration, and testing of GNC algorithms in a collaborative, security-cleared environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's in a STEM field and has experience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++, and Linux, plus GNC, modeling, and CFD knowledge.

Qualifications

Master's degree in engineering, science, physics, mathematics, or a related STEM field. Degree must be obtained by start date.
Experience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++, and/or Object-Oriented design and Linux operating systems.
Experience with GNC systems, modeling & simulation techniques, digital/modern control systems, dynamics, Kalman filter design, signal processing (EO/IR or RF), navigation systems, sensors (IMU/GPS), and algorithms including APNT.

Responsibilities

Support evaluation, design, implementation, and integration of embedded software algorithms in the GNC domain.
Characterize system aerodynamics through CFD and wind tunnel testing and design/optimize guidance and navigation algorithms.
Collaborate with an integrated product team on tactical embedded software, firmware, and six-DOF simulations to meet performance objectives.
