Job summary

RTX is hiring for a Systems Engineer II - Guidance, Navigation, and Control Engineer in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on evaluating, designing, implementing, and integrating embedded software algorithms for missile systems, and involves collaboration within an integrated product team that handles flight software and simulations.

You will work on 6-DOF simulations to meet system performance requirements, with on-site duties in Tucson.

Qualifications

• Typical bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM field.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in GNC, signal processing, or modeling/simulation.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, C, C++, or OO design.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and test embedded tactical missile flight code.
• Perform system-level perf studies to inform capability development or obsolescence work.
• Lead backlog and plan development in an Agile framework.
• Mentor engineers and improve execution efficiency across the program.
• Support missile performance analyses, modeling, and Monte Carlo assessments.
