Job summary

Fuze Health is seeking a Principal Engineer to set the technical vision across engineering and guide the design of high-throughput, compliant systems for FuzeRx. You will collaborate with the VP of Engineering and cross-functional teams to ensure architecture aligns with business goals.

Your deep expertise in AWS, PostgreSQL, Ruby on Rails, Python, and TypeScript will drive scalable, secure, and reliable health platforms while mentoring engineers and advancing engineering standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive, hands-on software engineering and systems design experience.
• Deep domain expertise in HealthTech, Digital Pharmacy, or regulated environments.
• Advanced knowledge of healthcare data interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, NCPDP) and EHR integrations.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the target architecture for core platforms and lead technically challenging initiatives.
• Mentor and scale engineers across multiple squads, enforcing design reviews and CI/CD practices.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Pharmacy Ops to align architecture with business goals and clinical requirements.
• Partner with InfoSec to ensure HIPAA and SOC2 compliance and secure data handling.
• Drive performance improvements for high-throughput systems and optimize database efficiency.
