Job summary

Fuze Health Inc. in the United States is seeking a Principal Engineer to define the architectural vision for FuzeRx and guide multiple squads through complex, mission-critical systems.

You will set engineering standards and ensure secure, scalable platforms for digital pharmacy and API-powered fulfillment. You will mentor staff engineers, collaborate with product and operations teams, and drive compliant, high-performance solutions across AWS, PostgreSQL, Ruby on Rails, Python, and TypeScript.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: 10+ years of progressive, hands-on software engineering and systems design in scalable B2B SaaS or transactional systems.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the target architecture for FuzeRx's core B2B and consumer platforms.
• Lead the design and implementation of high-volume API integrations and complex pharmacy fulfillment logistics.
• Mentor and elevate Staff, Senior, and Mid-level engineers; establish design reviews and pairing sessions.
• Establish and enforce engineering standards including coding guidelines, testing frameworks, CI/CD, and security-by-design.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering Managers, and Pharmacy Operations to align architectures with business and clinical goals.
• Partner with InfoSec to meet HIPAA, SOC2 compliance and data privacy requirements.
• Drive initiatives to optimize performance, reduce latency, and improve database efficiency in AWS and PostgreSQL.
• Continuously evaluate tools and AWS services, running POCs to improve the FuzeRx ecosystem.
