Job summary

Fuze Health is seeking a Principal Engineer to define and drive the architectural vision for FuzeRx, spanning B2B and consumer platforms. You will guide high-volume API integrations, pharmacy fulfillment, and distributed systems across AWS, PostgreSQL, Ruby on Rails, Python, and TypeScript/JavaScript.

You will mentor staff engineers, enforce rigorous design practices, and collaborate with Product, Pharmacy Operations, and InfoSec to ensure HIPAA and SOC2 compliant, scalable solutions that

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive, hands-on software engineering and systems design experience.
• Experience building and scaling distributed, high-throughput B2B SaaS or transactional systems.
• Deep domain expertise in HealthTech, Digital Pharmacy, or highly regulated environments.
• Advanced knowledge of healthcare data interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, NCPDP) and EHR integrations.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the target architecture for FuzeRx's core B2B and consumer platforms.
• Lead the design and implementation of high-volume API integrations and pharmacy fulfillment logistics.
• Mentor Staff, Senior, and Mid-level engineers; promote rigorous design reviews and learning sessions.
• Establish engineering standards including coding guidelines, testing frameworks, CI/CD, and security-by-design.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering Managers, and Pharmacy Operations to align architecture with business goals.
• Partner with InfoSec to ensure HIPAA and SOC2 compliant systems and secure messaging.
• Drive performance improvements, reduce latency, and optimize PostgreSQL/AWS infrastructure.
• Evaluate new tools and AWS services, run POCs to improve the FuzeRx ecosystem.
