Job summary

Fuze Health is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead architectural vision and drive the implementation of scalable, secure, API-driven health platforms (FuzeRx). You will mentor engineers across multiple squads, establish engineering standards, and partner with Product and Pharmacy Operations to meet stringent healthcare requirements.

You will shape high-impact initiatives, optimize data systems in AWS and PostgreSQL, and ensure compliant, reliable delivery of healthcare transactions at scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive, hands-on software engineering and systems design experience.
• Experience building and scaling distributed, high-throughput B2B SaaS or transactional systems.
• Deep domain expertise in HealthTech, Digital Pharmacy, or highly regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the target architecture for FuzeRx’s core B2B and consumer platforms.
• Lead the design and implementation of high-volume API integrations and complex fulfillment logistics.
• Mentor Staff, Senior, and Mid-level engineers; institute rigorous design reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Establish and enforce engineering standards across coding, testing, CI/CD, and security-by-design.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering Managers, and Pharmacy Operations to align architectures with business goals and clinical requirements.
• Partner with InfoSec to ensure HIPAA and SOC2 compliance and secure data handling.
• Drive performance and reliability improvements across PostgreSQL and AWS infrastructure.
• Evaluate new tools and AWS services via POCs to improve the FuzeRx ecosystem.
