Job summary

RTX is seeking an Electrical Subsystems Digital Senior Principal Engineer to lead a multi-disciplinary design and integration team for development guidance systems. The role emphasizes FPGA-based digital design, program execution, and close collaboration with customers and suppliers.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in analog/digital/power electronics, systems engineering, and experience guiding teams through hardware lifecycle phases. A DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
• Ten years of experience in analog, digital, and power electronics design and production support
• Experience in Digital sub-systems, systems engineering, requirement development, and CAD/DF wiring
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Responsibilities

• Lead Digital Design Efforts for development guidance systems focused around systems containing FPGA's
• Accountable for program execution including cost, schedule and technical oversight throughout the early development lifecycle
• Support component level design and test reviews
• Collaboration with customer and suppliers
• Assignments may include guiding a team through several phases of hardware lifecycle
