Job summary

Arrow Electronics is seeking a Principal Architect to lead one or more software teams and drive architectural decisions for mission-critical systems. The role involves steering design, development and deployment, ensuring alignment with business goals and vendor requirements.

The position requires deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to operate with little supervision in a fast-paced environment. Fully remote with occasional travel to Arrow offices as requested.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of related experience with a 4 year degree; or 12 years with an advanced degree; or equivalent experience.
• Recognized as an expert within the organization and beyond own function.
• Able to operate with no supervision in a complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Manages one or more teams developing software product applications for software solutions to meet business requirements.
• Evaluates progress and results of development efforts and hires, fires, and conducts performance reviews.
• Executes, assesses and troubleshoots software programs and applications, including upgrades and patches as mandated by the vendor.
• Designs, develops and documents specifications throughout the project life cycle.
• Guides development teams on design, development and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems.
