Job summary

HP seeks a Technical Consultant Manager to lead the Presales TC team, driving technical strategy across Enterprise accounts and coordinating with Sales leadership. You will coach TCs to deliver expert demonstrations, architect solutions, and accelerate deal velocity while aligning with budget and governance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• Typically 10+ years of related experience or 8–10 years in management roles within technical consulting, presales, or solution architecture.
• Proven leadership of technical teams in a sales or presales environment.
• Experience with budget management and financial forecasting.
• Strong background in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and enterprise software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement presales strategies aligned with business goals.
• Conduct regular training to ensure team expertise in current technologies.
• Lead and mentor the presales technical team.
• Collaborate with sales teams to assess customer requirements.
• Deliver tailored product demonstrations and technical presentations.
• Build strong relationships with clients to ensure trust and credibility.
• Architect and validate technical solutions based on customer needs.
• Oversee proposals, RFP responses, and tender documentation.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, supportable, and aligned with industry standards.
• Provide feedback to product teams based on customer interactions.
• Represent the company at industry events, webinars, and strategic meetings.
• Monitor budgets and forecasts; allocate resources across opportunities.
