Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Senior Presales Systems Engineer for Federal Civilian Agencies. This remote role centers on campus, branch, WAN, security, and access architectures, delivering end-to-end technical designs and trusted customer partnerships.

You will lead discovery, translate requirements into architectures, and drive pre-sales activities with account teams, while showcasing differentiators and coordinating with engineering and product management.

• Customer-facing leadership with strong technical credibility.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior pre-sales technical advisor for Federal Civilian Agency customers (campus, branch, WAN, security, access architectures).
• Partner with Account Managers to qualify and advance opportunities from discovery through close.
• Lead customer discovery and translate business, operational, and technical requirements into solution architectures and roadmaps.
• Design and present solutions spanning campus networking, WAN, security, NAC, automation, and cloud-managed operations.
• Build and deliver technical proposals, presentations, workshops, demonstrations, and PoC engagements.
• Articulate HPE Networking differentiators and position against competitors.
• Collaborate with internal teams to remove blockers and align solutions to customer outcomes.
• Maintain awareness of market trends and emerging technologies for cloud-driven environments.
• Develop trusted relationships with customers and stakeholders.
