Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or related field.
• Significant pre-sales systems engineering or solution consulting experience.
• Deep campus and branch networking experience (wired, wireless, WAN, security, NAC).
• Strong knowledge of data center and WAN technologies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; travel across the USA.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior pre‑sales technical advisor for assigned Federal Civilian Agency customers.
• Partner with Account Managers to identify, qualify, and advance opportunities from discovery through close.
• Lead customer discovery and translate requirements into solution architectures and roadmaps.
• Design and present solutions spanning campus networking, WAN, security, and cloud‑managed operations.
• Build and deliver technical proposals, presentations, workshops, demos, and POC engagements.
• Articulate HPE Networking differentiation and position solutions against competitors.
• Engage with internal engineering, product management, services, and partners to remove blockers.
• Maintain awareness of market trends and emerging technologies in cloud‑driven environments.
• Develop trusted relationships with customer engineers, architects, and decision‑makers.
• Travel regularly to customer sites, internal meetings, and strategic events.
